Lake Whatcom Water-Sewer District - Sewage Interceptor

Project Overview

Trunk sewer project serving Sudden Valley and Geneva ended rainfall-induced sewage overflows to Lake Whatcom, and resolved ten-year moratorium on new sewer connections.  Project included new 6-mile 12" diameter force main; two new 2,000 gpm pump stations; and major upgrade of existing pump station.

Mattawa Wastewater Treatment and Collection

Planning, design, funding, inspection and construction phase services for 0.6 MGD WWTP and new sewer collection system. Funding for the project included grants and loans from PWTF, CDGB, SRF, CCWF, and RECD. The project also included Small Town Environment Program's (STEP) community labor and volunteers and use of prison labor.
