Wrangell Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants

Project Overview

The upgrade project for the 600,000 gpd wastewater treatment plant included facility planning, design, and construction phase services for pump station upgrades, and SCADA system.  The project included NPDES permitting for ocean outfall and pollutant modeling.  The project was completed in 2003 at a total construction cost of $3.1MM lead by Senior Project Engineer Mar Curtis, PE.

The new Water Treatment Plant included ozonation, ph adjustment, roughing filter, slow sand filtration, chlorination, booster pumping, and 400,000 gallon reservoir.
