Project consisted of design and construction management of 1,500 LF of City of Bellingham water mains to replace aging campus water mains. Project work included evaluation of alignments; hydraulic modeling with InfoWater software; topographic surveying; analysis of need for pilings; and preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Challenges included narrow site constraints, preservation of surface features and trees in Red Square, rock soils, and minimizing interference with campus activities. Included five new service connections and one new fire Line to existing buildings.
