Wilson Engineering has been providing engineering and surveying services to the Pacific Northwest including Washington, Oregon, Alaska, and Hawaii for over 50 years.
Founded by James E. Wilson, P.E., P.L.S., the firm started with a focus on municipal engineering, site development, and land surveying. Since 1967, Wilson Engineering has worked with many clients, such as the Pole Road Water Association, which remains a client to this day.
Over the years the firm has expanded its markets and services to areas such as Water & Wastewater and acquired extensive experience designing low-cost, yet state-of-the-art treatment plants, collection systems, and stormwater facilities.
In the surveying industry, Wilson Engineering has led the way in the Pacific Northwest providing the full range of land and hydrographic services. We have always remained on the cutting edge of technologies and education, providing clients with a straightforward solution. Wilson Engineering was one of the first firms to utilize GPS and 3D scanning technologies, saving clients time and money.
In 2000, ownership transitioned to Margaret Curtis, P.E. and Marc Curtis, P.E. both senior engineers working with the company since 1991. Margaret, an expert in the development and replacement of municipal infrastructure, led the company forward by expanding services in GIS mapping, hydrographic surveying, and institutional development. The Bellingham Technical College, Whatcom Community College, and Western Washington University have been repeat clients where we have provided engineering and surveying services in utility master planning, campus expansion, and construction management.
Wilson Engineering has remained a full-service company by having knowledgeable staff in-house for each project's requirements. For clients like the City of Wrangell, Alaska, Wilson Engineering provided services in almost every field, including land surveying, utility mapping, municipal infrastructure design, GIS asset management, water distribution design, a new wastewater treatment plant, and a new water treatment plant.
In 2010, Wilson Engineering welcomed the addition of five new partners from within the company; Andy Law, P.E., Dave Carpenter, P.E., Melanie Mankamyer, P.E., Jeff Christner, P.E., and Elizabeth Sterling, P.E. Since then, Marc and Margaret Curtis, and Dave Carpenter have retired, and Tom Brewster, P.L.S., Michael Matthes, P.E., Curt Schoenfelder, P.E., and Scott Wilson, P.E. were promoted to partners.
As Wilson Engineering has grown we have maintained a collaborative atmosphere by working together for many years. Our many years of experience have given us technical and professional excellence, personalized service, and integrity.
